The Sense-ational Science: Classroom Setup

The Sense-ational Science e-Lab is designed to accommodate up to 25 students.

The students should be divided into five teams with up to 5 students on each team. They will work collaboratively throughout the e-Lab. Team names are Team A, Team B, Team C, Team D, and Team E.

During the e-Lab each team will be given specific responsibilities.

Team A. Will be responsible for the sense of sight.
Team B. Will be responsible for the sense of hearing.
Team C. Will be responsible for the sense of touch.
Team D. Will be responsible for the sense of smell
Team E. Will be responsible for lab safety (there is no tasting in a lab!)

MANDATORY MATERIALS NEEDED:

Minimum of 5 baby food jars w/lids; 1 per each team of 6 students. If you have more jars, distribute them among your students.
Heavy whipping cream (1/4 to 1/2 cup per jar) – NOT COOLWHIP
Salt (optional)

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Any type of container with a lid will work and the heavy whipping cream MUST be at room temperature for 12 hours.
